MIKOMI
A platform for studies, projects, and partners.
Mikomi ist ein Institut der Hochschule Mittweida und verbindet Studieninformation, Forschung und Praxisprojekte in einer gemeinsamen Website. Ziel war eine klare Struktur für unterschiedliche Inhalte und Zielgruppen.
Challenge
Content from academic programs, research, and project work had to be combined within one consistent structure. Project pages, study information, partner content, and editorial contributions all intersected within the platform. Content changes frequently and is maintained by multiple contributors. The system needed to support this dynamic workflow while remaining easy to manage.
Solution
Implementation with TYPO3 as the central CMS. Clear content models for projects, study information, and editorial content. Reduced use of extensions and a focus on reusable modules. The goal was a maintainable structure with a clean separation between content and presentation.
Implementation
Modular page types for projects, overview pages, and detailed content. Centralized content management with consistent output across all pages. Clear navigation structures for different target groups. Performance, accessibility, and clean content architecture were considered from the very beginning.
Result
A structured website that presents complex information in a clear and understandable way. Projects, study information, and partner content are logically interconnected. Content is easy to maintain and can be expanded flexibly.
Added value
Reduced maintenance effort despite continuously growing content. Clear structures for both editors and users. Strong discoverability through well-structured content models. A technically stable foundation for future development and evolving requirements.
